N Scale Sears Roebuck and Co. Early 20th Century Catalog House
In 1908-1937 for about $650 to $5,000, you could order a house through a catalog! Below is one of the types of houses in the appropriate colors that you could get for less than $2,000.
This little house is less than 3 inches tall. It is "N" Scale in Railroad terms, yet, I believe it to be the perfect equivilant to our 1/144th Scale. (only it doesn't open for decorating so paint or glue your curtains on before you glue it together).
Hanging Plants is fun in this scale.
