Miniature Crochet for The Serious Miniature Collector

Yuck! Let's Strip it Down and Redecorate it!

Thought I was going to have to start over? Then start over we shall!
So that's what I did! Ripped off all the shingles, soaked all the wall papers off the walls, scraped off all the glue, sanded the outside to a smooth finish again, and tore up all the electric tape.
I was going to do it right this time....

Medford Dollhouse Outside View

Here we see some fresh paint. I didn't sand down the roof since it was to be covered with wood shingles this time. It used to have that black tar paper stuff on a roll. What a dust collector that stuff was. Martha Stewart would have been so proud...it was her paint from K-Mart!

*Dollhouse Tip: Paint your roof, even if you plan to use shingles, so no bare wood will show through. A dark color is best and most natural and don't usa a paint with so much sheen glue won't adhere.
